OnePlus fans can finally mark their calendars. The company has confirmed that its next major software update, OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, will begin rolling out in India on October 16.
The update promises a fresh design, improved system performance, and a deeper focus on artificial intelligence. OnePlus says OxygenOS 16 will include native Gemini AI integration, allowing users to handle contextual tasks like creating travel plans or managing notes directly within the new Mindspace feature.
While the rollout starts mid-October, it won’t reach all devices at once. The first to receive OxygenOS 16 will be the OnePlus 13 series—including the OnePlus 13, 13R, and 13S—since these models have already completed beta testing. Other eligible devices will follow in phases over the coming weeks.
